Why I'm Running

Tired of being unrepresented in the halls of Annapolis?

I am. Until Maryland begins to elect experienced members of the community with the know-how to offer real conservative solutions that will make a difference, then higher taxes, more influence of special interests, greater job-loss, less business creation, and more crime will continue. We must achieve a balance in Annapolis that represents the will of the voters and not just the will of the Speaker of the Majority Party.

Most of the legislators in Annapolis are cut from the same cloth of tax and spend liberal doctrine of fiscal irresponsibility that has been ruling Maryland for far too long. Look at the taxes the legislature has instituted and the drastic cuts they and Governor O’Malley is now making just because they refused to cut spending.  Maryland’s acceptance of Obama's stimulus money will cause more problems in the next two years when that money runs out.

I am dedicated to balancing our budget, but not on the backs of our citizens. I am opposed to amnesty since illegal aliens cost Marylanders thousands of jobs and millions of dollars a year in health care, social services and government handouts. I will vote for reducing our taxes to increase private income and reduce corporate taxes in order to reverse the flight of businesses out of our state. It is common sense that you can't tax and spend your way out of a recession and that we need to encourage businesses to relocate into Maryland.

I am a Republican, but most of all I am a pro-business conservative and that is the way I shall vote.
Help me make a difference in Annapolis.

Thank you for your vote,
Dr. Jack Gordon MD
